BIO
Vanessa Moar
Vanessa graduated from McGill University in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. For nearly 20 years Vanessa has worked in various orthopaedic and sports injury clinics in Ontario and British Columbia. Vanessa has also worked on an interdisciplinary chronic pain program and volunteered as a physiotherapist in Kenya for 4 years and Egypt for 3 years.
Vanessa believes staying active during recovery of all types of injuries is key. Her goal is to optimize rehabilitation for her patients and to provide them with a foundation for injury prevention. With a focus on client education, Vanessa uses a combination of manual therapy, acupuncture, soft tissue techniques, yoga and taping in her treatment plan. With the client, Vanessa develops patient specific exercises to address muscle imbalances and motor pattern dysfunction with the goal of maximizing function and mobility.
Vanessa has always been an active member of the physiotherapy community and is committed to her profession and life-long learning. She has served as Chair of the National Capital Unit Orthopaedic Division and has attended numerous national and international physiotherapy conferences. She believes communicating with physiotherapists, personal trainers and other health care professionals from a variety of practice settings and countries allows for a more well-rounded approach to treatment.
Vanessa has taken a variety of postgraduate training to give her a multitude of ideas to draw from when assessing and treating clients:
- She has been practicing acupuncture since 2001 and successfully completed the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute’s (AFCI) certification exams in 2006.
- In manual therapy she has successfully completed her Level 3 upper and lower quadrant courses and exams.
- She has taken specialized courses in Kinetic Control and Dynamic Stablization of the Cervical and Lumbar spine, Myofascial Release of the Thoracic and Pelvic Outlet, Sahrman Movement Impairment and Muscle Imbalance and Kinesiotaping.
- Also, after practicing yoga herself for over 20 years and successfully incorporating yoga type exercises into her patient’s rehab programs she has recently become certified as a yoga instructor and has been teaching small group yoga classes as well as designing one on one yoga programs for clients with a variety of needs.
In her spare time, Vanessa enjoys yoga, walking her dog and travelling with her husband and three children. She is also involved with helping out with any injuries that arise on her two son’s competitive basketball teams and keeping up with her very active little girl.
Vanessa is very excited to join the South Delta Physiotherapy team.

Justin Lorette
RMT
Justin has always had a passion for the sciences and has always strived to pursue knowledge and understanding in all he does.
After suffering a whiplash injury in 2017, he sought care through massage therapy and chiropractic work. It was after seeing the care others put into him through manual therapy that he decided that he wanted something different than Chemical Engineering and decided to change paths into Massage Therapy. He quickly fell in love with all aspects of the profession and was excited to give back in a more meaningful way than he did before as others had done with him.
Justin grew up in Richmond and currently lives in Ladner with his wife, 2 children, and dog. He enjoys staying active in as many ways as he can including cycling, hiking, and pickle ball.
Justin has practice using a pain-science and movement therapy approach to patient care. He practices using Swedish relaxation techniques, myofascial release, and trigger point work — combined with an emphasis on home-care and hydrotherapy to ensure his patients live as pain-free as possible.
